Rudolph Schindler designed residence. Unfortunately the original woodwork had been painted with several coats of white paint. We chemically stripped the paint off and were able to determine the original color underneath. This we matched using custom tinted oil stain and hand applied two coats of Interior Matte varnish.
The owner added new cabinetry and we treated this with Potassium Dichromate to replicate the oxidized original wood and then stained to match.
