Mimnaugh residence. This house was originally built in the seventies and was bought by George Mimnaugh as a spec house for resale. George put his considerable design skill to the redo and the studio was hired to provide finishes and fabrication of custom furniture.
The dining table in the pictures is part of a developing line of pieces using reclaimed and salvaged wood, in this case a single slab of California native Torrey Pine. In the gallery are pictures of the base profile being worked out on a CNC machine. This shape was then cut into the underside of the table where the acrylic base slots into place.
