Heineken Experience for BRC Imagination Arts and Ironwood.
The studio was hired as a subcontractor on two occasions as part of the restoration of the museum. The first phase involved matching a sheetrock and wood wall to existing aged concrete in a display area. Using quick dry plasters, glazes and colorant we were able to achieve a very close match.
This led to us being hired to correct a problem in a museum tour bar area. Unfortunately the case work had been delivered in the wrong color. We were asked to darken the wood and mute the redness. We applied a pure green aniline dye and sealed this in with a barrier coat of sprayed on de-waxed shellac. After a light sanding we applied a brown oil stain and three coats of lacquer. We also faux finished the walls to replicate tobacco staining.
The last picture in the gallery shows my work vehicle in Amsterdam.
